- The Swiss e-ID is safer than the ID photo you upload todayMost of the worry about the Swiss e-ID is about data the Confederation already holds. The real risk sits somewhere else, and it is the reason the launch was postponed in June.
- Russia runs a Swiss news site. Almost nobody reads it, and that is the point.The morning after the Neutrality Initiative failed, switzerland.news-pravda.com had already published nine pieces about it. The site belongs to a Russian network that writes millions of articles a year for an audience of search engines and AI training data.
- The AI Act got delayed. Three parts of it did not.Brussels moved the expensive obligations to December 2027, and a lot of Swiss companies read that as nothing applying yet. The part that landed on schedule in August is the part most small companies were actually going to trip over.
- The Swiss case for running a model on your own hardwareUnder the revised FADP, putting personal data into somebody else's AI tool makes you responsible for it and them your processor, which needs a contract. There is one architecture where that question does not arise, and in August it got considerably cheaper.
